Where are we at?

Very good. Now we are down to Durwood and Jason. I'm a bit worried that I sent out an e-mail to Durwood a couple days ago and haven't heard back from him. Anyone seen him (Turbinedoctor) on any of the forums lately?

Did you ever get someone to make the cylinder caps?

I'm looking at a couple of different options there. I'll let you all know if I can/can't get it worked out.

If there is no one person to make the caps, we could each make our own to finish the project. That's one part that has a bit of room for customizing to make for a fancy engine.

I'm with Hawkeye, we could all finish the jobs ourselves.

Thanks Turbo, we'll look forward to seeing them.

Now for the latest update! I just received the bearings from Hawkeye and once again I have to comment on the top-notch job done on them.

That relates to the "surprise" I am working on. ;) I already have the raw materials on hand. What I was/am planning to do is to rough out the cylinders and caps and include them with the rest of the parts. Each person can then fit the pistons and finish them to whatever extent they desire. I figure it's the least I can do after seeing all the beautiful work you guys have done.

I brought the frames to work with me tonight so I can package them and send them out. I had polished them a little weeks ago and left wrapped in a shop rag to help preserve them. Well, they need a little more polishing before sending them on. Should be done tonight. They won't be mirror finished but better then they look now.

I am afraid I will be voted the least capable machinist when you see them in person.

No worries there Durwood. I'm absolutely sure that I have that position "sewed up".
