Bill,

The bases showed up today. I may have to keep one for a shaving mirror. ;) Well done! Sorry my photography doesn't do them justice:

Those look nice. Nice crisp edges. Who did them?

Were they ground, or did you hand sand them?

Bill (B34VD) was responsible for these. Hopefully he'll chime in to answer your question.

I can tell you that the bevels are nice and clean and the finish is excellent. 8-)

They were flycut with a tri-bit cutter and then the bevels were cut using a regular end end mill & a sine table. The whole thing was transfered to a surface grinder where the top sides & the bevels were ground.

Those bases look great!

The flywheels shipped out today. According to USPS Ron should have them Friday or Saturday.

+1 for excellent finish. -1 for not to print, though! Who authorized these changes? Where is the ECN?

Only a couple more and I'll be set to ship some parts out.

Thanks,

Just thought I would give a non-update to keep this alive:

Still waiting on Hawkeye (Main bearings), Turbinedoctor (Frames), as well as 4R8 (Pistons, done but we are just waiting for Jason to return to civilization do he can ship them. ;) )

I am working a bit of a "surprise" for the build team but getting the new mill and having to rebuild the shop has slowed me down a bit as well. I'm really glad no one is in a big hurry.
